Colman Domingo, the actor who plays Victor Strand on AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and a spinoff of that show as well, recently sat down with Collider to talk about both projects. He told the site that he is very excited about his character’s future. Colman also revealed some new details about the upcoming spinoff series!

About the Victor Strand Spinoff

Colman said that his character is going to be in the spinoff series, but he will not have a major role. The actor also hinted at what kind of story it might be about without giving too much away. Colman told Collider: “I can’t say exactly how Victor Strand gets back [to the companion show] or even if he does get back.”

The spinoff show takes place during an earlier time period than its predecessor; therefore, there are some differences between the two shows, such as new characters, new locations, and different time periods. Colman said: “It’s just a whole other world.”

Colman also revealed that the spinoff show would focus on Victor Strand’s backstory. And that it might even be set in Mexico. It has not been confirmed whether or not Domingo; would appear in the series as his character is still alive at this point; however, Colman thinks there may be some flashbacks involving him which could explain why he was using an alias during Season One of Fear The Walking Dead.

About the Show “Fear The Walking Dead”

Colman Domingo has become a series regular in the second season of “Fear The Walking Dead” Colman is playing Strand, one of the survivors who will do anything to protect his and other’s life. He said he wasn’t sure if this character would be part of Season Two when he got offered the role.

The actor also told Collider that it was interesting how they have shifted from living in luxury to struggling for survival. Colman added: “I think we’re blessed with good writing on both shows.”

Colman added: “But yeah, I can say definitely stay tuned because you never know what surprises are coming up! So watch out for these guys!”

He believes fans should look forward to seeing how Colman portrays Colman’s character in a new light. The site asked if he knew Victor would get his own spinoff when he joined Fear the Walking Dead Season Two, which is when Colman first started appearing as Victor Strand.

Probable Release Date for the Victor Strand Spinoff

Colman will not appear in every episode of the spinoff, but he is going to have a recurring role. We do know that Colman has signed on for at least one more season with Fear The Walking Dead after just being promoted, and we also know Colman’s character was featured in an early teaser trailer alongside Kim Dickens’ Madison Clark from FTWD Season Two, so it’s safe to assume Victor Strand Spinoff probably won’t air until 2023 or 20124.

Victor Strand Spinoff Plot Predictions

Colman told us that he thinks there is a lot of potential for Victor Strand’s story and character development in the spinoff. He added, “there are other characters from L.A., they’re going to be moving around” There was also talk about Colman potentially directing an episode or two, which would obviously give him more control over his own arc on the show, but Colman seems pretty excited about it all saying: I’m really happy; I mean everybody has their ideas of what should happen with this guy [Victor Strand] so hopefully season one will answer some questions.”
