The King’s Man is a new movie that has not been released by The Weinstein Company yet. The film was directed by The Lord of the Rings director Matthew Vaughn and stars The Hobbit cast members Ralph Fiennes and Rhys Ifans. The film is set to release in December 2021 in US theaters.

The film is based on the popular book series, The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. The movie tells the story of Kvothe, who starts his journey as an orphan boy; with uncanny abilities and talents, where he becomes one of the most powerful magicians in the world; under mysterious circumstances that could be connected to him; also being royalty.

Kvothe sets off on a quest for answers about magic which leads him down some dark paths – both literally and figuratively! The official synopsis reads: “Based on Patrick Rothfuss’ global bestselling; fantasy trilogy, THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLE will follow a pair of wandering performers; through parallel universes.”

The King’s Man Movie Release Date Announcement

The release date announcement for The King’s Man was made at the same time as The Witcher series. The news was announced by Variety saying that The King’s Man will be released on Netflix in 2021, with one of those dates being confirmed to have a global premiere along with an international theatrical run.

The Plot Details Of The King’s Man While we don’t know much about what is going to happen in The King’s Man movie, based on the books, it seems like this could take place after Kvothe has finished his training but before he sets out into the world under “destiny” – how convenient! It also sounds like there will probably be some romance or love interest since “(the) good luck may rub off.”

The plot summary may not be exciting to everyone. But the larger concern will likely be who they are casting into each role. We’ll have to wait until we see some images before deciding if this new iteration lives up to expectations, but The King’s Man movie has a lot of promise. The book series is so beloved that many have been waiting for a film adaptation for decades, and it sounds like this will live up to expectations!
