In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she states: “We are doing the pilot for it, and we’re hoping to get picked up,” adding about why now is the right time: “There are so many shows coming on cable TV as well as Netflix and Hulu…People really enjoy family sitcoms.”

Tia also mentioned in another interview how excited they were when ABC Family asked them back for a reboot saying, “It was amazing because our lives have changed dramatically since then, but people still love this show just like always.” She adds that their characters will be different from before.
