My Little Pony: A New Generation is set to be released by Netflix on September 24, 2021. Prior to the film’s release, Paramount Pictures had slated the theatrical release to occur. However, the production secured the distribution rights to Netflix by February 2021 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic while retaining ownership only in China.

The trailer and poster for Netflix’s upcoming My Little Pony: A New Generation have been released, and all is not well in Equestria. The trailer shows the journey of a pony teamed up with a unicorn as they seek to restore magic to their land.
My Little Pony: A New Generation follows the adventures of My Little Ponies, unicorns, and pegasuses as they search for magic, adventure, and friendship. The first trailer shows a fluffy bunny, a lively game of Dance Dance Revolution-esque tournament, and plenty of glitters.
The trailer of the show shows how different worlds have been split and how these new friends try to unite them. A new generation of ponies is now finding their way into the Equestrian with a whole world full of new and exciting challenges to meet.
The unimaginable has happened to Equestria: it’s no longer inhabited by little ponies! Earth Ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasi used to live there together, but now they’re isolated from each other. But Sunny, an optimistic pony from the earthbound race of Earth Pony, is determined to bring back unity and magic to the part she lives in.
