The cast for the She-Hulk series has been announced, and Ginger Gonzaga, who played Ginger, is thrilled with the choice of Tatiana Maslany. Ginger told us, “I think she’s a perfect fit. I’m excited to see her as Jennifer Walters.” Ginger went on to say that she was drawn to Jennifer because of her strength and tenacity. She-Hulk, Marvel’s first female hero to get her own series! Meet Jennifer Walters: lawyer by day and a super-powered hulk at night. She’s the daughter of Bruce Banner (the Hulk), so she has big shoes or, should we say, big hands? that are green in size to fill. As if juggling work with crime-fighting weren’t enough, Jennifer finds herself incarcerated for defending an anti-government protestor. Things only go downhill from there as Senator Schmitz offers her freedom on one condition to become his champion, “She-Hulks,” against all other opponents, including criminals and monsters too weird even for a comic book!

“She-Hulk” Series Release Date Speculations

The She-Hulk series has not yet been announced, but it is speculated that since they have now released at least thirteen episodes of Jessica Jones so far, there could be potential release date speculation coming soon. Since The Defenders are next up after Iron Fist releases later this month (September), Netflix may announce the premiere dates for other months. However, we are speculating on a 2022 release as well.

Ginger says that this is a perfect casting decision; because of how well-known Maslany is with her natural ability; to transform into different characters; throughout various shows. The actress says that Maslany will be able to explore the range of emotions and personalities, which is why Ginger believes she’ll do well as She-Hulk.

Ginger admits that it can be difficult for some actors or actresses to take on these larger-than-life roles given the time commitment needed so Ginger hopes Tatiana Maslany has enough energy after her previous role in Orphan Black, where she played more than one character.

Jennifer Walters has a secret that she’s managed to keep hidden; from everyone: her cousin Bruce Banner (the Hulk) and even her work partner Jen Walters. Jennifer doesn’t want anyone else knowing about her; night job because of how dangerous it can be and also because of what might happen when people find out who she really is: daughter of Bruce Banner and Betty Ross, sister to Rebecca Banner, niece to Queen Caiera or at least she used to be until one mission against an anti-government protestor went horribly wrong. She finds herself incarcerated in General Schmitz’s prison facility with the Hulk, where she’s forced to fight him in the arena for Schmitz’s amusement.
