Malignant Plot Synopsis:
In the film Malignant, “Madison has disturbing visions of grisly murders happening, and her problems get worse as she realizes that these are in fact realities.”
What the movie could be about is unclear, but it’s definitely not the next installment in The Conjuring series.
Wan said he drew on Giallo films and Brian De Palma’s work, calling Malignant “a little bit of my homage to Argento’s Opera and Terror at the Opera.” He calls it a “more violent and visceral thriller,” drawing comparisons to Raising Cain, Dressed to Kill.
