Cobra Kai Season 4 is finally here, and the Cobra Kai team did not disappoint. In this trailer breakdown, we will discuss Cobra Kai season 4 story expectations and plot twists that Cobra Kai followers should be excited for!

We start with Johnny Lawrence being released from prison to a very different world than he remembers. The streets are cleaner now, but they were his playground back in the 80s when he was on top of the Cobra Kai dojo’s pecking order. As he heads home to find that things have changed drastically since his incarceration, it becomes clear that there are going to be some major conflicts between him and those who had been watching over Shoto.

About the Show “Cobra Kai”

Cobra Kai is a half-hour comedy series from The Weinstein Company that reunites Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso, respectively. Cobra Kai picks up 30 years after the events of the original film “The Karate Kid.”

Johnny Lawrence will be returning home after his prison sentence, but he finds that things have changed drastically since then; there are going to be conflicts between him and those who had been watching over Shoto while he was away, especially Daniel LaRusso (Sean Larkin).

The show’s creator John Heald said that this was not planned as a ten-episode series with an ending. Cobra Kai Season Three is also set to broadcast on YouTube Red.

The trailer starts by setting up the premise of Cobra Kai season four. And features Johnny Lawrence arriving at his mother’s house; after he was released from prison, with a multitude of people waiting for him outside. He walks in through the front door and embraces her; before heading into his bedroom; to take off his suit jacket but finds that it has been shredded; this seems like an indication; that there will be some kind of confrontation between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence later in Cobra Kai season four?

The next scene shows a flashback when he beat up Terry Silverman during the Cobra Kai game nighttime basketball game, as well as teaching his Cobra Kai students to punch. A voiceover of him saying, “I’m not trying to be a bully, I just want Cobra Kai kids to never lose” at the end of his Cobra Kai game night-time basketball games is also featured in this scene.

The last part of the Cobra kai season four trailer shows Johnny Lawrence entering an abandoned building and then walking through it as if he’s looking for something or someone before being confronted by what seems like Terry Silverman with a knife who appears on one side while another man walks up from behind him; they try and attack Johnny Lawrence, but he manages to fight them off during the brief altercation.

Cobra Kai Season 4 Release Date Speculations

In my opinion, the first Cobra Kai season four trailer seems to allude to how Kane may have come back from his long absence to stop Johnny Lawrence before he can do anything worse than what he did at All-Valley Karate Championships last time they fought. The quote “I’m sorry that you had a friend and I didn’t” says it all for me.

However, the show does not have a specific release date. We can only speculate a December 2021 release.

Plot Expectations from Season 4 of Cobra Kai

In Cobra Kai season four, I expect Johnny to get his comeuppance for what he did at the All-Valley Karate Championships. He’s not going away as a champion this time around, and I hope that it’s because we will finally see him getting beaten by someone who is better than him (Kane), or even worse: defeated by Ralph Macchio.

I also want to know more about where Kane has been all these years since Cobra Kai Season three ended with Johnny beating up both of them in the parking lot after they won their second All-Valley title together. What happened after? Is he still alive? Who knows! Cobra Kai season four might answer some of those questions soon enough.
