Actor Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes aka “The Winter Soldier” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe celebrates 10 years in the MCU. We take a look at his journey from the first movie he acted into his latest appearances and what it means for him to be part of the MCU family.

About Bucky Barnes in the MCU

Since his first appearance in “Captain America: The First Avenger” where he was played by Sebastian Stan, Bucky is one of the most popular characters within the MCU. He’s had a long-standing relationship with Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans).

In fact, they are best friends who grew up together and were each other’s only family for years; until Barnes turned against him on behalf of Hydra during WWII. It wasn’t until 1977 that we see what happens to this character after being captured at some point afterward. Now known as the Winter Soldier, it seems like he has found his place amongst Black Widow and Falcon when Nick Fury Jr recruits them for something called Project Insight which could mean trouble ahead.

Bucky Barnes is one of those MCU characters that you just can’t help but love! He was originally introduced in “Captain America: The First Avenger” before turning into a villainous threat named The Winter Soldier in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
