About the Series “Grey’s Anatomy”

Grey’s Anatomy is a medical drama television series that premiered in 2005. The show was created by Krista Vernoff and follows Meredith Grey as she leaves her small-town roots behind to become an intern at Seattle Grace Hospital. Grey’s Anatomy is currently in its 17th season and has been renewed for an 18th. Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital has seen many doctors come through the doors, some as interns and others as residents or guest surgeons.

Season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy was renewed on 10th May 2021.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 is set to premiere on September 30th, 2021. Grey’s has been renewed for a 19th season as well.

In the Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 trailer; we see Meredith Grey returning to work; after having her daughter; with Alex Karev. Meredith Grey and Dr. Arizona Robbins; are seen treating victims; of an active shooter incident at Seattle University that left many people injured or killed in its wake. There were reports of gunfire during this time which led to the lockdown of campus buildings but no confirmation was given as to whether shots fired were from the attacker himself.

Release Date Updates for Season 18

Grey’s Anatomy season 18 will premiere on September 30, 2021, for the 2021–22 broadcast season.

It will return on a new nighttime slot which means Grey’s Anatomy season 18 will air on Thursday nights. Grey’s is moving to its new home at the same time as The Good Doctor and Station 19, giving fans of Grey’s another exciting medical drama series to enjoy.

Plot Clues from Season 17 Finale

The season finale ended with all sorts of cliffhangers! We don’t know what will happen to Owen Hunt following his shooting incident – but we do know that he survived the surgery. As for Teddy Altman, she was offered the job at Mayo Clinic which would take her away from Seattle Grace. Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital will have to find a new Head of General Surgery so we’ll just have to wait and see who gets the position!

Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is having some major changes in Grey’s Anatomy Season 18. The hospital has lost its Chief of Surgery and on top of that, Grey Sloan will have to find a new one!

Luckily for the Grey’s team, they’re blessed with Meredith Grey who has been offered her dream job as Chief Resident at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital – even though she didn’t want it in the first place!

Teddy Altman was also offered a real promotion but chose not to take it so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens there.

Grey has been on the lookout for a new series regular since April when it was revealed that Giacomo Gianniotti (Dr. Andrew DeLuca) would not be returning next season.

The show is currently looking to cast an actor in their late 20s or early 30s with “star power” who will play a neurosurgeon and bring some more life into Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
