The Evil season 2 trailer had a lot of fans wondering what an “Ifrit” is. The Evil season 1 finale revealed that the new season will deal with these beings, but not many people know what they are or where they come from. This blog post is going to explore all of the details we have about them so far!

What is an “Ifrit”? Evil

In ancient Arabian folklore and poetry, Ifrits (also spelled Afreet) were strong types of Djinn; who could take human-like; forms at will. They often live in hot places; such as fire temples; and volcanoes, which explains; why they’re also sometimes; called Jinn because this word means ‘hidden being’. Evil has been hinting for a while now that the new Evil season will be about the Ifrits so, what exactly are they?

An Ifrit has never been seen on screen before in any of Julie Plec’s other TV series like Vampire Diaries or Originals so their appearance was initially unknown until now. It seems there will be more than one type of Ifrit featured as well! Some look humanoid while others appear demonic–but all can wield fire at will. Evil season two will introduce us to a whole new world of the supernatural and it sounds like this could be one of their major players.

Evil Season 2 Updates

Season one of the series revealed that the new Evil Season two would deal with these beings. The Evil cast and crew were not allowed to tell us what an “Ifrit” is or where they come from, but we do know this: They are powerful creatures who have previously threatened human existence. They’re also vulnerable to dark magic which makes them a perfect enemy for Finn’s quest to find his father.

The Evil season finale revealed that we’ll see more of them in Evil Season, but it’s not clear where these beings come from or how Evil plans to use them. But there has been plenty of hints and clues along with fan theories to get a sense of who they are and why Evil wants them on our screens as soon as possible!

The most popular theory among fans right now is that Evie may have turned her own father into an ifrit after he abandoned his family when she was very young. This would explain why Constance (who seems to know everything) tells us that ‘If you want your enemy destroyed season two premiered on June 20th at the Evil TV website.

“Evil Season 2” features an Ifrit?

Evil has been hinting for a while now that the new Evil season will be about the Ifrits so, what exactly are they? Now that we know what an Ifrit is and Evil Season Two has cast some of their key players, it will be interesting to see how these new characters interact with each other or if they’re all working together in some way!
