The Twist of Daenerys: House of the Dragon Explain it all For The Fans

House Of Dragon

Daenerys Targaryen is one of the most popular characters from Game of Thrones. She has been introduced to us as a character that was born in Essos and had a life-changing experience when her family was murdered. Her story is full of mystery, dragons, magic spells, and dragon eggs…

The twists start here:

we have seen three Daeneryses so far – or rather three versions of one single person – who are they? The first Dany grew up on Dragonstone with Stannis Baratheon; she was his daughter (we think). When he died during the Battle at Winterfell this girl disappeared without a trace. But if you remember correctly some signs were pointing towards Shireen being sacrificed to R’hllor.

Then the second Daenerys is the one we meet in Slaver’s Bay; this girl has grown up on her own, with no family or allies and she was sold into slavery by Kraznys mo Nakloz when she was just 13 years old. We know that a few months ago Dany had to flee from Astapor – which is still ruled by a great council of so-called “good masters” who speak for all the other slave traders and sellers across Essos – but then she suddenly returns to Vaes Dothrak to find out what happened there.

This third version of Daenerys seems very different: not only does she appear as if nothing ever went wrong, but she also doesn’t seem to have any doubts about herself, her decisions, or her power.

In this interpretation of the story, it would be only natural that Dany will take over and rule Westeros as a queen; but not because she is just “a woman” – rather than being born in Westeros and reigned by right from the beginning, Daenerys’ claim on the Iron Throne seems much more justified now: after all, she has been ruling for years already! Remember when we saw her outside Vaes Dothrak? She was sitting atop an unsaddled horse with full confidence and plenty of authority.

She may even be able to wear one of Khal Drogo’s old outfits without looking ridiculous thanks to how tall she has grown; Dany may now be able to wear one of Khal Drogo’s old outfits without looking ridiculous thanks to how tall she has grown.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that this twist also removes the need for a man (or woman) in her life: if Daenarys were born and raised in Westeros, she would no longer have any valid claim on the Iron Throne which could make her story less interesting and down-to-earth. However, as long as House Targaryen remains alive somewhere out there – they are still Daenerys’s rightful heirs because they share blood with her – then she will not remain alone forever…
