The third installment of the hit show has been talked about since it was announced, and now we get to see what all the fuss is about. Marvel’s Luke Cage season three is back on Netflix and fans are going crazy! The third installment of the hit show has been talked about since it was announced, and now we get to see what all the fuss is about. We know everything there is to know about this new season of Marvel’s Luke Cage. For example, did you know that Mike Colter will be reprising his role as Luke? He’ll also be joined by Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Theo Rossi (Shades), and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple). In addition to these faces returning from previous seasons, this time around we’re getting a whole bunch of others – including Mustafa Shakir as John McIver aka Bushmaster, Erik LaRay Harvey as Willis Stryker aka Diamondback, and Gabrielle Dennis as Tilda Johnson.

What will happen in the Luke Cage: Season 3 :

The first episode of the season will kick off with Luke Cage on trial for a crime he didn’t commit. With his past coming back to haunt him in Harlem, it’s up to Misty Knight (who is still fighting her way through recovery) and Claire Temple (whose not-quite-human abilities are evolving faster than she can control them) to protect him from Bushmaster, who has been unleashed onto New York City by Cottonmouth and Shades – but why? What do they want from Luke that would make these two former allies go against each other so deeply?

The season will also introduce a new superhero to the Marvel universe, John “Bushmaster” McIver. Bushmaster is one of the most dangerous characters in all of Marveldom and now he’s out for revenge against Luke Cage.

storyline:

Our heroes are finally back and ready for action! Tired of being pushed around by the injustices of society, our hero has a new attitude—he’s fighting mad and badder than ever before. Harlem will never be the same again…but it still needs its protector. Luke finds himself caught up in several conflicts all at once that threaten to destroy his progress as well as what he’s built within the community while trying desperately not to give into more trouble just yet with this third season beginning; forces converging under mysterious circumstances create one man’s worst nightmare — “the perfect storm.” And when some battle lines are drawn between him and the people closest to him, Luke finds he is no longer fighting alone.

New additions include Diane Guerrero (“Orange Is the New Black”) who will play a love interest for Cage; Gabrielle Dennis of “Insecure,” playing Harlem councilwoman Mariah Dillard, aka Black Mariah; Simone Missick from FOX’s “Lethal Weapon,” reprising her Misty Knight role from Marvel Netflix shows; and Mustafa Shakir, playing the villain Bushmaster.
