Brendan Wayne on Mandalorian Season 3 going back to first season
Brendan Wayne, actor and star of the Mandolorian series has revealed that the third season will be more like the first season. It was a big change from the second season which had been criticized for being too violent and not having enough storyline. Season 3 will go back to basics with less violence and more character development.

The Mandalorian Series is set shortly after the Revenge of the Sith years before A New Hope in a galaxy far away as seen through its protagonist: an ex-Jedi turned gunfighter called The Mandalorian played by Pedro Pascal (Narcos). In addition to giving audiences insight into this world, we are also treated to some amazing action sequences both hand-to-start up close and personal.
The Mandalorian is the first live-action Star Wars TV series to have a season of only eight episodes. It premiered with two new episodes being released each week in the same way as Game of Thrones and Westworld do it. The first episode aired at 11 PM Eastern Time but for those planning on staying up well past bedtime, Netflix has created an aftershow called After The Black which will be hosted by Phil Lord (creator) and Chris Miller (director).
It was interesting hearing about how much effort went into getting things just right for this show given that there are so few people who work within Lucasfilm’s ILMxLAB department where they take care of all their effects needs from movies to TV.
Episode one was a bit slow-paced in the first half but it felt like there were a lot of easter eggs that got me excited to watch more and I’m looking forward to seeing how things unfold without getting too much into spoilers for those who have yet to see episode two. There’s also an interesting twist at the end which left me very curious about what will happen next, especially when you factor in all this talk about time travel.
We’re already halfway through with season three so I’ll be watching out for any new releases from ILMxLAB now that they’ve worked out some kinks with their workflow process.”
