The Mare of Easttown season 2 is coming, and we couldn’t be more excited! As the premiere date approaches, let’s take a look at everything that we know so far. Mare of Easttown season 1 was an incredible series with over 13 million viewers, so it won’t surprise you to hear that this show has been renewed for another season. There are also rumors about Mare of Easttown getting picked up internationally, which means even more attention and money for the cast and crew.

Mare Of Easttown Season 1 Summary

You might remember from Mare of Easttown Season 1 that there were two different universes: Mare’s world – where she was stuck in a mental institution by her mother – and her mother’s world where she had to find out what happened after Mare disappeared. Mare’s father convinced her mother to let Mare come home, but as the season went on, it became apparent that Mare was not going to be able to return and had been replaced by an identical version of herself in her mother’s world.

The series ended with Mare waking up from a coma following the car accident, which led to her discovery that she was Mare from the other world.

Mare is in a mental institute for most of season one, but when she finds out what had happened after she left and who replaced her as Mare in her mother’s reality, it becomes more difficult for Mare to stay away.

Mare of Easttown Season 2 Plot Speculations

The second season will follow both Mares: one stuck in an institution by herself; and another trying desperately to get back home. As Mare from Easttown starts to piece together what’s happened; since her disappearance, Mare in the institution becomes more and more aware; that she is not only Mare of Easttown. Mare will be confronted with a lot of tough decisions; this season: will she go back home; while risking never coming out; again? Will Mare wake up for good at all?

Mare of Easttown season two is coming soon. And we’re so excited! This could be a great opportunity for Mare; to meet her family. Mare’s family might not be gone forever–although they are from another dimension, which means they cannot see each other; or meet face to face. Jordan could return; with new friends/family members.

A single Mare of Easttown series can’t have everything; that we want from Mare’s life–without having to go into too many seasons. And dragging out storylines. The second season of Mare of Easttown; will cover Jordan going off on his own, dealing with different people, and learning more about himself. He’ll also learn “more about what it means; to be a human being.” Some things will remain unresolved, such as Mare finding out; who her father really was. Because at this point, she doesn’t know much about him other than he wasn’t always nice to everyone. Mare of Easttown season two will also cover Mare learning more about her mother and exploring her relationship with her.

Confirmed Star Cast for Season 2

It has been confirmed by one of the actors, Tyler James Williams (who plays Jordan), that there may be two versions of his character on-screen during Season Two. This would mean that it might be possible for both Mares to have friends/family members who are still alive. However, most likely, they cannot interact due to being different dimensions–other than brief phone calls or video chats through their computers.

Mare’s family might not be gone forever–although they are from another dimension which means they cannot see each other or meet face to face.
