Halo TV Show – What Is It About And Other Important Things?

The Halo TV show is a live-action television series set in the Halo universe, which follows an elite team of humans and aliens as they battle against the Covenant. The show was announced on September 20th, 2017, with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television co-producing alongside 343 Industries. Halo TV Series Release Date Details:

Production for Showtime’s Halo TV show was slowed by the Covid-19 pandemic and is now set to debut in Q1 2022 on Paramount+.

Production was originally scheduled to begin filming in late 2019 but is now expected to be released sometime in 2020. The cast was reported on set as of November 2020, a sign that the series may not be finished airing anytime soon.

Halo TV Series Cast Details:

Following delays to the Covid-19 event and subsequent schedule changes, the “Halo” television series has recast Cortana, its blue-hued AI. Originally portrayed by Natascha McElhone as both Cortana and Dr. Catherine Halsey–the brilliant, conflicted creator of the Spartan supersoldiers–Cortana will now be played by actress Jen Taylor.

The role of Halsey is now being played by Amanda McElhone, with Cortana’s voice to be performed by Jen Taylor. It’s not yet known whether Taylor will reprise the physical appearance she has for the character in past Halo games (spoken or computer-generated), nor is it known if her voice recordings will also include dialogue that Cortana speaks aloud.

The Halo TV show had also confirmed the casting of Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-006, a friend to Master Chief played by Shabana Azmi. Three Spartan characters, new to the Halo franchise with this series, have been revealed: Kalu will play a supersoldier conscripted at childhood who serves as the deputy of Chief.

Pulaski County, Pennsylvania’s Halo project is being produced by Lord of the Rings producer Rick Porrello with a budget in excess of $10 million. The live-action show will feature an Elite female Spartan-II enhanced fighter (109 aka Riz) and her partner, a male Spartan from the Outer Colonies named Kwan Ha, who she meets while both are conspiring against a corrupt Covenant regime.

Little is known about the details of the Halo TV show, but 343 Industries’ head of transmedia, Kiki Wolfkill, said that it would honor the canon by focusing on what takes place in a time when humanity fought against aliens called The Covenant and visiting this series of structures called Halo.

It would be unclear when in the Halo timeline a TV series might take place. It seems that the war with the Covenant and Chief’s origins present many possibilities for a show, including foreshadowing events from 2010’s ‘Halo: Reach’ and 2009’s ‘Halo 3: ODST’. The Fall of Reach is one of the Halo novels.
