Black Summer Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

The summer is coming to a close and we are finally able to take a breath. The black summer season has been an emotional roller coaster with one of the most shocking endings yet. We have seen some new faces, old faces return, and many deaths that left us in tears. The black summer season finale aired on a long time ago and it was action-packed from start to finish! As always, there were plenty of clues about what’s next for the show so let’s break them down together!

Black Summer Season 3 Release Date Details:

It is likely that Black Summer 3 will release in 2023. In the past, Netflix usually retained the first eight episodes of a series seven months after they released it, and then renewed the series for another season thirteen months later.

It may be a few years before season 3 of Black Summer premieres, but fans can enjoy season 2 as it becomes available.

The end of Black Summer season 2 kills off numerous characters. However, four out of the main five characters are technically still alive.

Meanwhile, Anna and Rose find the vehicle they intend to steal in a garage just as it explodes due to rigged bombs that have been set up around the city by an unseen figure.

As previously mentioned, Sun boards a plane and escapes, but Anna returns to her mother and hopes to leave in a stolen vehicle. Rose briefly opens her eyes while her daughter surveys the landscape with an appearance of certainty. Given these images, Black Summer season 3 is probably following Anna as the lead protagonist.

Though she appears ready to lead, it’s not clear how she’ll treat or transport Rose – where to? Whether Nazeri survives also remains a mystery.

About Black Summer Season 2:

In Black Summer season two, Rose and Anna settle in a mountain cabin after the events of season one. The mother and daughter ultimately travel to a ski lodge with another group in search of supplies. Their decisions are challenged by fellow survivors Boone and Julius James aka Spears.

Rose and Anna escape to an airport in the Black Summer Season 2 finale, but their attempt fails due to zombie attacks and conflicts with other characters.

Black Summer season 2, a June 2021 Netflix release, ends with a plane arriving at the airfield to assist survivors. The pilot speaks Korean and Lee feels relieved and optimistic about the immediate future.

However, on land, it seems that she may have died due to injury sustained from an explosion. There are still rumors about the 3rd season of Black Summer but there’s no official word yet.

Netflix has not yet confirmed whether or not Black Summer season 3 will be made, but it seems likely that production might begin by the end of summer 2021.
