Ratched season two will focus on Ratched’s family. There is going to be a lot of drama; between everyone. In the Ratched household, which should make for some really good television! Season one focused mostly; on Dr. Ratchet. And her role as a head doctor at Chattahoochee, but we are expecting more from Ratched season two; because it will allow us an inside view; into the life of someone who has been through what she did only years ago.

Ratched is back with another gripping storyline and shocking twists that won’t disappoint fans of the first series. Ratched season two will be written by showrunner Shonda Rhimes and executive producer Betsy Beers. Season one has not yet been released on Netflix, so it is too early to discuss what the plot might entail, but there are several theories out there that suggest Ratched could take place in 2022 with a presidential election taking place!

Do we have any spin-offs for the show?

Ratched season two will be released on Netflix in 2021. But Ratched is not the only show; that has been created from this world. Ratched: An Antidote to Chaos was originally planned as a follow-up series to Ratched Season One and followed Ellis (played by Emma Stone), who went undercover at The Slab; to take down the corrupt institution. However, it never aired due to creative differences with producers; Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. This story would have followed Ratches, a journey into turmoil. Following her release from prison after being incarcerated for corruption charges; brought against her by Kellerman’s husband Clayton, played by Freddie Highmore.

There are also rumours of an upcoming film adaptation starring Mikeacked on for good measure. Ratched will explore the relationship between two sisters, one of whom is a widow and with children to care for after her husband’s death, while the other sister has no family ties whatsoever but does have plenty of money thanks to an inheritance from their father.

The theme for the show

The theme for Ratched’s second season is “family.” We’ll explore how much they love each other when you see them interact with one another and how far that love can go to keep them together even if their actions might not be the best for one another.

Star Cast

There have only been rumours about who will play certain roles in Ratched Season Two at this point. We do know, however, that Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy) was cast as Harriet O’Connor, an Irish immigrant woman living near Chicago during the 1893 World Columbian Exhibition. This means Ratched may take us outside of Boston for a change which would make sense given the storyline from season one.

Genre and Cast Speculations Ratched season two will be a drama series with some comedic moments thrown in there as well to keep things interesting, much like Ratched was. It is expected that Ratched season two will have some of the same cast members from Ratched season one returning such as Bobby Cannavale who played Chief Psychologist Dr George Simon; Michael Engler, director of 12 episodes of Ratched including “The Bridge” which featured Nurse Mildred’s backstory; Christine Lahti who had an Emmy-winning performance on this show as Nurse Ratched (a character she has portrayed twice before in movies); Uzo Aduba who plays Suzanne Warren aka Crazy Eyes from Orange Is The New Black.
