In the third and final season of the fantasy drama television series, Ragnarok is all set to air. The first season aired on October 7th, 2018, with a total of eight episodes; the second season aired on December 6th, 2019, with thirteen episodes; while the third and final season will have twelve episodes.

“Ragnarok” has been an international success so far with over 1 billion views as well as many awards such as 5 Emmy Awards for “Best Fantasy Television Series,” three Golden Globe Awards for “Best Fantasy Television Series,” two Screen Actors Guild Awards for “Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Drama TV Series,” one MTV Movie Award for “Movie of the Year.”

Season One

In the first season of “Ragnarok,” a group of survivors from Earth, consisting mainly of humans and creatures who turn into animals or monsters during an apocalypse caused by the awakening of Norse god giants. With this event, new gods are born, and old ones die off to keep balance within nature.

Season Two

Season two will continue with its predecessor’s plotline, which includes Thorin Oakenshield (Jimmi Simpson) as he tries to reclaim his kingdom on Earth. The second season is set around six months after the events that occurred in Ragnarok Season one. In addition, there will be more focus on Kratos’s family history while exploring how they were separated.

Season Summary

“Ragnarok” follows a group of characters who are being hunted down to be killed or turned into vampires on behalf of an organization that wants to control all newborns with their bloodline’s powers called “Tau.” It features three seasons worth of episodes which have each comprised thirteen weekly installments apiece.

Episode Release Date

The first episode of “Ragnarok” Season One premiered on November 29, 2017, with its finale airing on December 19th in 2017. Season Two was released on January 24th, 2018, and ended on May 18th, 2018. It is expected that the release date for Ragnarok Season three will come out at some point during 2022 or 2023. The showrunners are not sure when the new episodes would air because Netflix has decided to drop all episodes up-front rather than releasing them one by one like their predecessors.
