The Blacklist: Season 8 Identity Reveal? Who is Reddington?

the blacklist season 8

The Blacklist is back for season 8, and this time with a brand new identity. The show has been on the air for 7 seasons, but who is Reddington? Is he really Raymond Reddington or just an alias? In this post, we will explore the possible theories behind his true identity.

About The Blacklist: Season 8!

Raymond Reddington’s real name could be Alexander Kirkland Jr., which was revealed in episode 16 of Season One when Elizabeth Keen went undercover at a bank robbery. He stated that he never used that last name while working as an agent because it brought too much attention to him from other agents within the FBI. This leaves room open to believing he isn’t actually Raymond Reddington if those are two different names after all.

Another possibility would be that he is the lost son of Inga Arvad, a journalist who was killed when she attempted to interview President Kennedy. This theory comes from an article written by Esther Newberg, which stated that it’s possible Raymond Reddington and this woman had a love affair in Paris before meeting up with JFK at what seemed like his favorite hotel (Hotel George). There were also pictures published as well as letters sent between them while they were across seas living their lives.

Arnold Vasilik could have been the person behind all these theories about Ray being someone else completely or just another alias. He has never been seen on screen, but we know him through Elizabeth Keen because she told us about him during her time with the FBI.

Why would Vasilik have this information?

He said he had “friends” in high places that leaked to him some of these facts and wanted to share them with her but never disclosed who those people were. One theory is that they could be from Raymond Reddington’s past– a family member, friend, or someone close to him. Another possibility is this person was hired by Elizabeth Keen herself because she needed another way to get answers out of Raymond about his identity and what happened on the night Liz’s husband died (episode 11).

He specifically mentioned how Ray has been lying for so long, and it might just be easier if we knew who he really was before going down any more wrong paths, which makes me.

Who is casting in The Blacklist: Season 8?

Casting for The Blacklist: However, since filming began back in September, there must be some information out there on who will be joining the cast and which actors would potentially come back to reprise their roles from seasons past? One rumor going around claims James Spader himself may have leaked casting info on a live Facebook video he did while shooting scenes at one point during production. No word yet if he spilled any beans about his own role on the show or if he accidentally let some spoilers slip about the new cast members.

What is the plot?

When the season premiere aired, we learned that Reddington was really a CIA operative who had been disavowed and framed for an act of treason.

This is just one of many twists and turns in The Blacklist’s eight-season run. It has long been speculated that Red may not be as trustworthy as he appears to be on the show–and this turn proved those theories right.

We have also seen Tom Keen (Megan Boone) suffer from amnesia, Liz goes undercover at Berlin Station while pregnant with her son Halcyon Jones, Ressler’s debilitating alcoholism leads him down a dark path during his time away from work after being kidnapped by perps led by Ian Garvey (Jonny Coyne), and the team deals with threats from all over, including an assassin named The Hunter (Jennifer Ferrin) who had a vendetta against Red.

The show has also been known for its elaborate setups and twists–such as when it was revealed that Liz’s father Tom died in her place after she gave up his identity to save him from execution by the Cabal years before or how Ressler became aware of Reddington’s true nature via documents found out through surveillance on one of Jane Scott’s patients.
