We don’t yet know who will play this role, but actor Tom Hardy is reportedly being considered for it and would make a perfect fit, considering his background with action movies like “Mad Max” and “Bronson.” He has proven time and again that he can take on any role and deliver a compelling performance.

In addition to Lynch’s story, there will be time jumps between 15th-century Spain in the Animus and modern-day New York City as seen through his ancestor Aguilar with new conflicts arising within this family dynamic.

The show is being created by Ubisoft Motion Pictures’ top production team, including head of content Tommy Francois, who has been working on Assassin’s Creed for over a decade. They have collectively supervised all the big-screen adaptations thus far: “Assassin’s Creed” (2007), “Assassin’s Creed II” (2009), “Assassin’s Creed III” (2012), and “Unity”. The producer, Jean Guesdon, said that during these years, he had witnessed people’s fascination with the franchise, which he said: “had an enduring appeal because of its characters and their struggle for human values in a time where greed has become more important than life.”

This new show will be written by Dan Watters (“Inhumans”, “Doctor Who”), who was also responsible for the “Escape from New York” episode of Assassin’s Creed III. He is partnering up with Ubisoft series veteran Kyle McVey to co-executive produce/co-showrun.

Williams.
