The shooting of the film was done in Georgia, Atlanta, Lincolnton, and Iceland. Filming began on September 1, 2019, and was wrapped up on January 12, 2020.
Initially, the film was set to release in theaters by Paramount Pictures due to the global COVID-19 pandemic; Amazon Studios acquired film distribution rights. It is scheduled for digital release on Prime Video on July 2, 2021.

The Tomorrow War Premise Details:
Time travelers have arrived from the year 2051 to deliver a message about humanity’s future. The humans are losing a war against a deadly species of aliens. To win this war, soldiers and civilians must be transported to the future in order for victory to be possible.
Although the protagonist doesn’t know it, his mission begins at home when he must face off an old nemesis and protect what matters most to him for once before jumping back into another timeline and saving mankind from extinction.
Dan Forester, former Delta Force Operator, is determined to save the world for his daughter, so he teams up with a brilliant scientist and his estranged father in order to rewrite the fate of the planet.
