In March 2020, Tom Ellis and other cast members of the television series were reported to have signed up for a sixth upcoming season. The cast which will be returning for season 6 is as follows:

  • Lauren German will play Chloe.
  • Lesley-Ann Brandt will play Maze.
  • Rachael Harris will play Linda Martin.
  • Aimee Garcia will play Ella Lopez.
  • Kevin Alejandro will play Dan Espinoza.
  • Scarlett Estevez will play Trixie Espinoza.
  • D.B. Woodside will play Amenadiel.

Other than these, the co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson are on board for season 6.

Now, let’s take a look at what we can expect storywise from season 6. Judging by the episode titles just above, it seems like  Lucifer will be continuing its trend of being dark and morally ambiguous in season six.

There are many theories surrounding Chloe’s position, considering that she is no longer a detective.

It has been said that this will work to the show’s advantage because they can really focus on the main cast of characters and how their personal lives interact with what happens to them during the last season.
