Morrison, during this time around, was never involved with any of the planning for The Book of Obi-Wan and had no idea he would be playing Boba Fett’s father until it was announced not long before release (although one could argue that all his work on Rogue One and Solo meant there were signs). He says: “I feel like I’ve got unfinished business.” Morrison hopes to continue acting but admits that retirement may soon come calling while he enjoys the recent successes of his children.

Away from work, he and his wife Vanessa have been taking in a lot of movies lately: “We’ve seen at least eight films so far this year.” It’s not all about Star Wars though, as Morrison admits to having an ‘intense’ relationship with cinema that has dated back to childhood when he was hooked on Westerns such as The Magnificent Seven. He recalls seeing Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America for the first time and being left reeling by its violence: “The blood sprayed like it looked beautiful against those white sheets.”
