What is the plot of season 3?

Some major threads were left hanging at the end of season two, the aforementioned Alyssa and her fate being the main one.

But several other big questions will need answering in season three, whenever it happens.

Vera is currently powerless, for now at least.

Chatting to Three If, By Space, Katharine Isabelle said: “Vera is probably going to have to rely on Hamish a lot going forward, and now that her magic is gone… the people around her will be vital to her survival.

“Vera is going to have to play a very smart game… Maybe she has to go on the run.”

But Isabelle sounded confident that Vera would somehow find a way to regain her magical capabilities.

“No matter what, Vera will stop at nothing to get her magic back. It is her life.”

Then there’s Gabrielle. If Alyssa is brought back from the brink (there’s no doubt in our minds that she will be), we’d expect her to pay Gabrielle a little visit, and our money’s on it being nothing less than savage.

The show certainly isn’t afraid to give its female characters some seriously meaty storylines (no pun intended), but it doesn’t stop there.

Chatting about the women in the show (via Syfy), Katharine Isabelle said: “Sometimes people stop at creating these Strong Female Characters, and they don’t flesh them out fully and make them intriguing.”

Chatting to Three If, By Space about his hopes for his character in season three, Jake Manley said: “I know Jack’s biggest focus will be doing whatever he can to bring Alyssa back. To do this, I think he’s going to need help from people he doesn’t necessarily want to associate or work with.

“I also think if it’s possible to bring Alyssa back, there’s going to be a huge cost to it. It will be very interesting to see what that cost brings about.”

We delve into all that and more in our season two ending explained and how it sets up the next chapter.
