The wait is finally over! Solar Opposites Season 3, the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning sitcom of 2016, is now available exclusively on Hulu. After being canceled by ABC Family in 2017 due to declining ratings and a change in management, Solar Opposites was picked up for a third season by their new home at Hulu. The show has been met with overwhelming success since its release; it currently holds an average 5-star rating from viewers on IMDB.com and 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com’s customer reviews section.

The third season of Solar Opposites follows the same four children from the previous two seasons as they embark on a new adventure in their lives. The kids are still navigating through middle school, but now that they’re 13-years-old; some newfound challenges arise with body image issues and hormones kicking into gear at just the wrong time.

It’s not all bad, though – with new friendships blossoming and some old relationships coming back into the picture, things are looking up for Kendall, Max, Sophie, and Ethan.

Plot

In Season Three, Kendall, Max, Sophie, and Ethan are 13-years-old. Kendall has a new friend named Hunter, who is significantly older than she is. She gets upset when he starts dating someone else because they’re “perfect together.” When Kendall tries to get back at her by giving out some of his secrets, things don’t go well. Max and Sophie have discovered that they’re not as interested in each other romantically as they used to be. They want different things out of life but are still good friends.

Ethan is dating Lyndsey, who he’s very serious about – so much so that he wants her to meet his parents for the first time this season! He’s also trying to take on more responsibility at school, which causes some friction with his teachers.

Kendall, Sophie, and Ethan all try out for the cheerleading squad but get cut because they’re “too old.” Together, Max and the three friends find a way to keep cheerleading in their lives without being on the team.

The season premiere follows Max as he tries to find out who his father is and why the only thing he knows about him is that he was a very famous golfer.

The finale of Season Three will have a huge cliffhanger!

We don’t know anything about the release date, but we can make an educated guess. The series premiered in May 2020 and returned 10 months later with Season 2. At this rate, we can expect Season 3 to be premiered In early January 2022.

We don’t know yet but can make a guess. Season two had 13 episodes, and season one had 20, so if we estimate that it’ll be the average of those seasons, then there will 15 episodes in Season Three.
