What is the Plot of the “Line Of Duty Season 7”?

Season VII is set to be the last run of Line Of Duty, so next year will likely see a lot more twists and turns as we reach the end game. The show has yet to confirm how many episodes there will be for this final series, but there are rumors that each episode could potentially have two hours’ worth of content.

What did the “Line Of Duty Season” mean to you?

This show not only has a fantastic storyline, brilliant writing, and outstanding acting from all angles but also manages to keep up with modern-day policing techniques, which really gives you an insight into how your favorite TV detectives actually do their job!

It was announced that this would be the last series of Line of Duty, so get ready for some final twists and turns. There have been lots happening since we first started watching; remember when AC-12 investigated a murder at police headquarters or when they discovered who killed Kate Fleming? Not forgetting finding out about Rawlings’ corruption – the list goes on and on.

What are your hopes for this final season?

I’m hoping that we will find out how and why Balaclava Man is responsible for all the murders; I want to know what happened in Gina’s past with her dad, which resulted in her shooting him but then getting killed herself; I also hope they finally get a breakthrough into solving who it was who actually shot Nick Pearce or found out about the terrorist attack at Paddington Station! It would be great if AC-12 could solve all of their cases, especially when you consider everything that has gone wrong over these past few seasons.

What is the release date of season 7?

Season seven has yet to be confirmed – but if it is commissioned, we’re probably in for a bit of a wait.

Previous seasons of Line of Duty have aired in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and (thanks to a pandemic-related filming delay) 2021. The drama usually airs across March and April, though there’s no rule saying it couldn’t air at another time of year.

It’s still possible that Mercurio will get the next season written and filmed in time for a 2022 air date, but at this point, we think it more likely that Line of Duty will return in spring 2023.

Martin Compston recently told ES Magazine that it would be a travesty not to work with his Line of Duty co-stars again, but that they all need a break first: “The idea that I would never work with all the guys again together would be heartbreaking. But also, with everything that’s just gone on this week, I think everybody, including the audience, needs a bit of time away from it. So we’ll see.”
