The Umbrella Academy Season 4: Trailer, Official Announcements, Cast, Plot Details and Twists!

The Umbrella Academy Seaason 4

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 is finally here! The series has been a huge hit with fans, and the fourth season can’t come soon enough. The show’s creators have released a trailer that will give you an idea of what to expect in this new season. While there are no spoilers for the plot or twists yet, we get a glimpse into what may happen when the series returns in 2021.

About the show:

In the first season of “The Umbrella Academy,” we are introduced to a dysfunctional family of superheroes led by Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), who adopts seven children with special powers after their parents die in unexplained circumstances. He trains them to save humanity from imminent disaster before suddenly dying himself.

The second season will see Number Five trying to take over the world while Vanya has her own agenda: hunting down an old friend she believes is still alive or dead, as well as investigating what really happened that night at Grace Military School, where they were left for dead.

Release Date for The Umbrella Academy Season 4:

Netflix has confirmed that production will start in February 2021, and Elliot Page posted to Instagram that month, revealing he was back on set. Season 2 was announced back in April 2019 and started streaming in July 2020. Using that same timescale, we can hazard a guess that The Umbrella Academy season 3 might drop sometime in February 2022. Nothing has been revealed yet, though.

As for when we might find out, the season 2 release date was announced in May 2020, so only two months in advance of the season premiere. Again, if we use the same timescale, that means we should keep an eye out in December 2021.

The Plot for the season:

The Umbrella Academy Season is set two years after the events of season one. The majority of children who were born on October 31, 1989, are now in their twenties, and they all have superpowers which means that they’re causing havoc with each other and people’s lives around them. In this time, an unknown number of kids from across the globe are being born as “novas” (the latest generation) with powers like telekinesis or pyrokinesis – while it seems to be a random occurrence for some populations, these births seem to occur more frequently than chance would suggest among those descended from Europeans during the Age of Exploration.

Things take a turn when someone begins assassinating novas–and only the novas. The survivors must work together to uncover the killer’s identity and stop him before he claims any more victims.

Star Cast for The Umbrella Academy Season 4:

  • Janelle Monae
  • Mary J. Blige
  • Cameron Britton
  • Diego Luna
  • Robert Sheehan
  • Aidan Gallagher

If you’re into superheroes or sci-fi TV shows, then this is for you!

SPOILER ALERT:

Plot details ahead… It’s hard not to expect twists when each character has nine lives left before they die, but we’ll leave that suspenseful moment until Season Four airs on Netflix later this year. All we know at the moment is that Hargreeves’ death was faked by his son Klaus– who he reveals as Number One– so he could take over without anyone noticing. Klaus is in charge now, and he intends to see through his father’s plans.

There are also two new characters joining the team: John Smith (who doesn’t like being called “Number One”) and Number Five! The trailer showed that they’re both having trouble adjusting to their newfound powers, which might lead them on a dark path… Watch out for those moments when it seems like our heroes have gone too far this time.
