Who are the cast members?

The returning characters from In The Dark Season One: Alan Alda as Bill O’Brien; Mary Elizabeth-Winstead as Abby Winter; Peter Sarsgaard as Danny Winters; Ksenia Solo as Tasha Zapata. Joining them in season two, but only for one episode: Paul Blackthorne who played Detective Hunt on “In The Dark.” And joining them permanently this time around is newcomer Max Martini as Detective Ben Harding.

The show is written by Emmy award-winning writer and producer Veena Sud (creator of The Killing), who also serves as an executive producer alongside Scott Stephens. This time around, the director is Adam Whitehead.

What can we expect?

While this season will not only be set in Washington state, it’s been confirmed that Bill O’Brien has finally retired from law enforcement to return full-time to his hometown with Abby – where he intends on fishing and growing a garden for the first time since their honeymoon! And while In The Dark Season One was very much about solving one long mystery through many different perspectives, In The Dark Season Two will focus more on what happens after justice is served.

So far, the series has been confirmed to return in 2021 with eight episodes. As per usual, there will be one season-long mystery and a slew of new characters that we’ll meet as time goes on – including some brand new FBI agents who are working closely alongside Bill O’Brien!

The showrunners have said they’re focusing more on what happens after justice is served this season rather than how it’s achieved. But while these changes might seem subtle at first glance, In The Dark Season Two promises to offer up some small surprises for fans of the original series when it returns next year!

About the series “In the Dark”?

In the Dark is an American investigative crime drama series based on a Danish TV show of the same name. It premiered in 2019 and starred Natalie Paul as Dr. Alex Buckley, a psychologist from New York City who has relocated to rural North Carolina to help organize local law enforcement’s newest unit, which solves cold cases with advanced technology that was too old for traditional methods.

The first season focused largely on one case about two teenagers whose murder was never solved – 16-year-old John Rayburn and his girlfriend, Tara Price. With no physical evidence or suspects, they had nothing to go by until finally, in the last episode, they solved it.

The second season focuses on a new case that was never resolved – 13-year-old Charlotte Ann Jones-Fitzgerald, who disappeared from her bedroom in 1985. Season two will also be more personal for Alex as she tries to solve this cold case and find out what happened to her sister’s daughter, who has been missing since 2010.

Season three is currently being filmed with no release date announced yet, but according to IMDb, we know so far that Natalie Paul, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (Danish actress), and Brent Sexton are set to return in 2021!

Release date:

The CW didn’t keep fans of In the Dark in the dark when it came to announcing the show’s third season, and the fourth season renewal came hot on its heels — even before season 3 premiered. As Deadline reports, the show was one of the early renewals that the network announced in January 2020, and it appears that CW president Mark Pedowitz considers In the Dark a pretty important piece of the puzzle. “These early orders for next season give our production teams a head start in plotting out story arcs and a jump on hiring staff, and this also provides us with a strong foundation of established, fan-favorite CW shows to build on for next season,” he stated upon renewal.

it’s worth noting that season 1 of In the Dark arrived in April 2019, and season 2 in April 2020. The CW announced In the Dark season 3 would premiere on June 23, 2021.
