Season 2 of The Pale Horse -the Cast, Reviews and Plot
Season 2 of The Pale Horse is not even close to being over, but many fans are already wondering if the show will be coming back for a third season. With so much drama, mystery and suspense, it’s hard to see how this story could end soon. But don’t worry! Here at The TV Junkie, we have all the information about what you need to know about Season 2
The Cast:
The Pale Horse is a very small cast, but the actors are all top-notch. There are no big names like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie to steal the show from Jordan, played by Kevin Bacon and his detective team, but that doesn’t mean they’re not just as good. And even though we have seen some of these characters before in other shows, it never feels old hat because this series has such a different tone than most crime dramas on TV today.
Reviews:
Critics love The Pale Horse for its’ unique take on police drama clich?s with complicated twists and turns throughout every episode which keep you guessing until the very end what will happen next! I would recommend watching Season One first before diving into Season Two because there’s a lot of backstory and connections to the first season.
Plot:
The Pale Horse is about Jordan, an experienced detective who works for San Francisco PD Homicide Division. Catherine Willows, his partner since 1990 when they met in a bar fight during their off-hours and began dating each other. They work with Detective Dani Beckett, who was transferred from Oakland PD after her fiance committed suicide on duty, as well as fellow detectives Harry Asche (played by John Hannah) and Evelyn Shaw (played by Claire Coffee). There are also two new characters introduced in this series – FBI Agent Rachel Kincaid, played by Jennifer Carpenter from Dexter fame, and Morris El Gato, a dirty cop, turned informant played by Raymond Cruz AKA.
will it be released or canceled?
The Pale Horse was originally planned as a mini-series. Moreover, the two-part story exhausts the complete content from its source material, which is the eponymous novel (with certain changes in the storyline). So another season seems a rare possibility.
However, since the drama managed to garner positive reviews from viewers, the makers, if they decide to go ahead with a new season, need to divert their focus from the book and decide on another storyline — may be an extension of season 1’s twisted conclusion. They can also think of adapting a different novel from Agatha Christie’s collection, but in that case, the name will change.
Whatever be the final decision of the showrunners, nothing is certain until the BBC makes an official decision. Until then, The Pale Horse season 2 is most likely canceled. We will update this section as we receive more concrete news.
What to expect?
In The Pale Horse, season two, we will see the same cast of actors as in season one. But there may be some changes to their roles that are not yet known, but if they do happen, they would most likely take place at the beginning or end of the new storyline and hence have minimal effect on what has already happened.
If you have watched Season One of this gripping drama, then it is worth watching Season Two for more suspense and intrigue since season two starts with a different setup than Part I had. Expect non-stop action from start to finish, just like before! This time around, though, viewers can expect slower parts where certain events unfold so that viewers can get a better understanding of who did what during those mysterious years.
