Jupiter’s Legacy Season 2 Release Date:

Jupiter’s Legacy landed on Netflix on May 7, with all eight episodes available for your binge-watching pleasure straight off the bat. If season 2 gets the go-ahead, we think it will come in mid-2022. It took about 7 months to film season 1, and post-production for visual effects-heavy shows takes a while.

The Millarworld comic book universe is going to see even more adaptations of Millar’s IPs, including a six-episode live-action spy series which he describes as his “first since Kingsman, but a very different kind. Of property.” The Magic Order and American Jesus are also set for TV show adaptations, so Jupiter’s Legacy may not be a priority, even if it does get the okay.

For now, we’ll have to sit tight and wait for confirmation of a renewal which should give us a better idea of the plan next year.

Jupiter’s Legacy Plot:

“In a world where superheroes hold great responsibility for public opinion, an aged group of former heroes must deal with retiring while the younger generation slides into corruption.” Sounds interesting, right? So Jupiter’s Legacy Season Two might not be on Netflix for a while, but it will eventually come back.

The series was cancelled after the first season because of poor reviews and low ratings. That doesn’t mean that everyone thinks Jupiter’s Legacy is bad, though! It just didn’t do well in terms of viewership or appeal to many people who watched it.

We don’t know much about this plot yet since it has just launched, and Netflix hasn’t released any footage or trailers for season two of Jupiter’s Legacy. We can probably assume that the show will continue with Sean Stewart as a writer and Gabriel Hardman on illustrations by looking at their Wikipedia pages. It was also confirmed that there would be no Superman cameos like in the first season because they are not Millar comics heroes anymore. So if you were hoping to see Reed Richards from Fantastic Four, then I’m sorry to say you’re out of luck.

Jupiter’s Legacy Cast:

We don’t know much about this cast since they are all new characters from the second season. There is one thing we can assume, though- there won’t be any more cameos from other Millar comic book heroes like Superman (Clark Kent) or Batman (Bruce Wayne). The only character we have seen so far is Michael Hendrix, who is Jupiter’s son.

Crew:

Sean Stewart is the writer; for Jupiter’s Legacy and was also a writer on season one of Jupiter’s Legacy. He has worked as an editor; at Image comics, written several episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise, Animorphs graphic novels, among other titles in his career so far.
