Free Guy is an upcoming American science fiction film directed by Shawn Levy starring Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Taika Waititi. The screenplay was written by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn.
Premise Of Free Guy:
The guy is an NPC working as a bank teller. He doesn’t realize that his world is just a video game until programmers Milly and Keys insert themselves into his reality to give him the knowledge he needs to become the hero. The race against time has begun—to save Free City before developers shut its program down forever.

Release Details Of Free Guy:
Free Guy will be released on August 13, 2021. It will have a 45-day exclusive theatrical release in the US before going online for streaming.
The film was originally scheduled for release on July 3, 2020, but it was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is currently slated to be released on December 11, 2020. In November 2020, the studio removed both films from its upcoming release schedule until further notice. The film was originally slated for release in the next month, but its release date will be pushed back to 2021.
Production Details Of Free Guy:
The movie “Free Guy” was in development at 20th Century Fox before being acquired by Disney. It is one of the first films under 20th Century Studio to continue production under Disney. “I haven’t been this invested in a project since Deadpool,” said Reynolds, who produced the movie with Shawn Levy.
Filming for this movie started in Boston last May, including the city’s Financial District. Filming took place in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts, and Framingham, Massachusetts, at the former Framingham Bank building and former Naval Air Station.
