The Orville Season 3 Plot Synopsis:
While Goodman would not share what The Orville Season 3 will be about, he hopes to investigate how the “Identity” and “Identity Part II” (season 2 – episodes 8 and 9) revelations affect Ed Mercer as a captain.
The show didn’t explore repercussions in season two, so that will be worth exploring when we get to season three.
In a recent interview with Trek Movie, he discussed how: “We will still be doing standalone episodes. However, now we have shown that we can do a deeper dive into the Union, into the aliens, and into our characters. So, we will continue that build.”
One of the challenges for The Orville is to maintain a high level of conflict. You want a balance.”
When conversing with SYFY about any questions a viewer might have after watching season two, MacFarlane explained: “There are answers in the first couple of [episodes of season three] that address some things, answering questions people had at the beginning of season two.”
Three improvements that are coming to The Orville season 3 were hinted at by creator Seth MacFarlane.” In this new season of The Orville, we explore all the things we’ve built for our characters over the course of previous seasons,” said co-executive producer Jonathan Goodman in an interview with Ars Technica.
“We’re trying to take what we did before and expand on that. So it is going to be more of the same.” In Season 3, Orville continues to break new ground as a funny hour-long sci-fi show with an interesting twist.
