The blacklist is one of the most popular TV series in recent years. Fans eagerly waiting for a new season to be released and find out what will happen next In this article, we take a look at all the plot twists that happened during previous seasons And try to predict what will happen in the blacklist season nine.

When will The Blacklist Season 9 be released?

It’s hard to predict exactly when the next season of “The Blacklist” will premiere. The pandemic is still making the TV schedule uncertain. Additionally, in the past few seasons, “The Blacklist” has tended to premiere whenever NBC has a hole in the schedule that needs plugging. Season 6 premiered in January 2019, Season 7 in October 2019, and Season 8 in November 2020. So, Season 9 will probably premiere sometime in the fall, but it might end up debuting at midseason. We’ll find out for sure when NBC releases its fall 2021-22 schedule during the network’s Upfronts presentation to advertisers on May 17.

In recent seasons, “The Blacklist” has aired on Fridays, which will probably continue to be the case.

According to What’s on Netflix, seasons of “The Blacklist” typically arrive on Netflix in September, a few months after they end their broadcast run. Season 8 will probably arrive in September 2021, and Season 9 in September 2022.

Who’s in the Season 9 cast?

Without James Spader, there’s no “The Blacklist,” so he’ll definitely be back. And since the story of the show is the cat-and-mouse of Red and Elizabeth Keen, Megan Boone will have to be back as well.

In April 2019, NBC confirmed that Boone was indeed on board for Season Nine. However, it’s unclear if she’ll be a regular cast member or have a reduced role now that Liz is no longer the focus of the show. According to her IMDb page, she doesn’t currently have any acting work booked after “The Blacklist.”

As far as other returning cast members go, you can probably count Raymond Reddington’s long-suffering right-hand man Mr. Kaplan (guest star Susan Blommaert), and his criminal nemesis Berlin (guest star Peter Stormare) among them too.

Many new faces are joining in Season Nine, though, with casting announcements coming out this week.

In Season Nine, we’ll see recurring guest stars such as Demian Bichir and Paul Reubens. When it comes to new cast members, the series has added Harriet Dyer (The Replacement), Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break), and Blaze Berdahl (Olivia Pope & Associates).

We also know that Sela Ward is coming on board for a multi-episode arc in this upcoming season. As TVLine reports: “Ward will play both Liz’s mother Redelia Miller — who abandoned her family when she was just four years old — as well as an operative from Berlin’s organization.”
