The comedy follows a young woman; who spends her days cooking up sophisticated dishes in an old bistro; in New York City that’s about to be shut down; because it can’t afford its real estate taxes unless she finds new investors soon enough.

The Cast of “Good On Paper”:

Obviously, at the front and centre of “Good on Paper” will be its star and writer, Iliza Shlesinger, who plays Andrea Singer, a stand-up comedian. Accompanying her is Margaret Cho, who is also well known for her long stand-up career, as well her appearances in films such as “Face/Off,” “It’s My Party,” and was recently in “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.” While it is unclear whether Cho will also appear as a standup in the “Good on Paper,” she will play a friend and confidant to Shlesinger.

The only other character whose name has been confirmed is Dennis, played by Ryan Hansen, who is best known for appearing in one of the most underrated shows of the last 15 years, “Party Down,” as well as parts in “Veronica Mars,” and “2 Broke Girls.” Dennis serves as the love interest for Andrea, whose straight-laced ways seem a little too good to be true.

Rounding out the cast is “The Mindy Project” regular Rebecca Rittenhouse, “Orange Is the New Black” cast member Matt McGorry, “The Bachelorette” contestant Tyler Cameron, and model Taylor Hill.
