Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date Details:

The Demon Slayer season 2 release date is not currently available. The official announcement from the anime’s website states it will air sometime in 2021, provided there are no delays with production.

Anime traditionally has multiple release windows a year. Spring, Fall, and Winter each premiere several popular titles as well as new ones during their respective seasons. Demon Slayer Season 2 missed out on debuting in the spring window. The original series ran from April until September 2019. Fall 2021 or Winter 2021 is looking far more likely for the release of season 2.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Plot Synopsis:

The Demon Slayer Season 2 story will adapt the ‘Entertainment District’ arc of the manga. In this source material, which takes place after “Mugen Train,” so yes, you will need to have watched the Demon Slayer movie before starting season 2 – unless you want to be spoiled. The original season has a lot of crucial details that are hard to follow unless you’ve seen the movie.

Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke are summoned to their first major assignment with the Demon Slayer Corps.

Rengoku, a member of the Hashira (elite Demon Slayer swordsman), is tasked with accompanying Akiko’s family – and with Nezuko in tow. The movie centers on Tanjiro and the company’s attempts to take down Muzan Kibutsuji, the original demon.

Following the dramatic events of Mugen Train and the end of the Infinity Train saga, Tanjiro, Hashira, and the Demon Slayer Corps must contend not only with the fallout from the movie but also with new enemies.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Trailer Details:

You can now watch the first Demon Slayer season 2 trailer. It focuses on one scene in which Inosuke is seen charging away, while there is a focus on the Sound Hashira. It’s likely he’ll tag along and mentor the three demon slayers in much the same way Rengoku did during the Infinity Train arc.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Cast Details:

Judging by the trailer, it was announced that all of the original voice actors from season 2 would be returning for season 3. There has been no word yet on whether or not there will be an English dub version this time around.

That means that Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), Akari Kito (Nezuko), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu), and Yoshitsugu Matusoka(Inosuke) are all returning for the next season. Expect other lesser-developed secondary characters, including Tengen and Shinobou, to also appear. The main villain, Muzan Kibutsuji (voiced by Toshihiko Seki), will also be returning.
