The Return of Black Summer Season 2

The long wait is finally over! Black Summer Season 2 has been confirmed to be in production, and it’s coming out in June 2021. The series will take place three years after the events of season 1, which saw a virus wipe out most of the world’s population. It’ll follow survivors trying to find safety while avoiding zombies who are now evolving into more dangerous creatures.

Black Summer is a Canadian television series created by Zadoc Angell. The series is set in the aftermath of a deadly virus that sweeps across North America and devastates human civilization, leaving only small pockets of survivors to fend for themselves against zombies who are now evolving into more dangerous creatures.

Plot Synopsis of Season 2 of Black Summer:

Black Summer Season two will pick up three years after the events of season one, which saw a virus wipe out most of the world’s population. It’ll follow survivors trying to find safety while avoiding zombies who are now evolving into more dangerous creatures.

The final shot was Rose and her daughter about to reunite, giving us one of the few happy moments in the first season. They were reunited in some miracle. They finally found each other again, but it wasn’t long before she became infected too.

Season One also hinted towards the tsunami that was to come. Mass starvation, paranoia, and panic made that summer one of the hardest time periods on Earth during this apocalypse so far.

Cast Details:

Jaime King as Rose, a mother separated from her daughter during the earliest and deadliest days of a zombie apocalypse. Justin Chu Cary as Julius James, a criminal who took the identity of “Spears,” the name of the soldier he killed. Christine Lee as Ooh “Sun” Kyungsun, a North Korean woman who is looking for her missing mother.

They were the only characters who survived till the end of Season 1 of Black Summer. Zoe Marlett is Anna, who will be playing Rose’s and Patrick’s daughter this new season.

Release and Trailer Details:

In November 2019, Netflix confirmed the return of Season 2 of Black Summer. The trailer was launched on May 20, 2021. We were given a sneak peek into who might live or die during the final days before humanity’s collapse; how Rose manages to create an alliance with Alicia Clark and other survivors in New York City.

There are eight episodes in Season two which will be premiered on June 17, 2021. The episodes are named “The Cold,” “Prelude,” “Card Game,” “Cold War,” “White Horse,” “Currency,” “The Lodge,” and “The Plane.”
