When will it start?
Into The Night season, two was released in Winter 2019, after the show’s first-season finale. it was on TV screens sometime during January or February 2020!
Who are the main characters?
In Season one of Into The Night, we met Harry Sinclair and his new family: teenage daughter Robin, her twin brother Kevin, their mother Nora, and Rosey – a woman from London who became part of the family when she married Harry. And while there were many other fantastic supporting characters too (like Alec), they’re all back for more! We also get to see some old faces return as well… including John Karnage; this time, he has something up his sleeve, which may make him even worse than before.
Is there any interesting even more than before?
Yes! There are more thrills, chills, and chilling twists this time around. In the first season of Into The Night, we had a whole family moving to London for safety from an American fugitive who was on their trail; in Season two Harry is still with Nora, but Robin and Kevin have left home to live independently – so plenty is happening that they’re not privy too… as well as some revelations about Rosey’s life before she became part of the family.
Reviews:
Incorporating elements of fantasy into its dramatization of a dysfunctional family, it’s not going to be for everyone.
The series was well-received by fans and critics alike, with the first season being nominated in 2017 for the Canadian Screen Award for Best Television Drama Series at the Golden Globe Awards.
“Into The Night” is an engaging drama that will keep viewers on their toes, waiting to see what happens next! My opinion:
As someone who watched both seasons, I enjoyed them immensely – enough so that I think they are now my favorites among current television dramas, but if you are looking for a show that is 100% about the action, then this may not be the best choice.
The positives:
The acting of all characters was superb, with lots of effort put into every role to make them believable; their emotions were raw when they needed to be but also subtle enough so as not to take anything away from what was going on around them at any given time.
I loved how intricate and suspenseful it felt – there’s always something happening or someone lurking in the shadows waiting to strike! And yet, I never got bored while watching because certain moments would happen where everything would stop for us, viewers, to focus on one major event, which kept me interested even when nothing else had.
The negatives:
Although the show is 100% about the action, it’s also just as much a drama or crime procedural, and sometimes there would be too many scenes that didn’t involve anything remotely violent happening. I get that this was done to develop some of the other characters more, but it can come across as slow-moving if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush. It feels like these moments often occurred between two intense sequences – one in which something big had happened and another where we were waiting excitedly for something else huge to go down. And while those smaller scenes did have a purpose, they could feel long when nothing new seemed to happen after being dragged out so much.
